Teletherapy

Sometimes, it’s just too much.

Getting out of the house, accounting for commute time and traffic, battling the weather, finding a parking space.

Finding a new office, carving out time at lunch, having to take time off work, or trying to come after you’re already exhausted.

Hoping no one will see you going in and out of a fertility mental health practice – or just plain hoping no one will see you at all.

And sometimes, maybe just getting out of bed.

But there’s a solution for sometimes.

Infertility Support of Glenside offers services via telehealth for those who prefer it.

Research consistently shows that teletherapy is just as effective as in-person therapy. You can get the same benefit from an online session with me as you can from coming in person.

Teletherapy eliminates most of the barriers to in-person therapy, including putting on real pants.

And the benefits? There are plenty!

Now, you can do your teletherapy session at home – or anywhere you have privacy!

It’s easy to block an hour into your work schedule, attend our session virtually, and then transition right back to work. It’s just faster. You just need to be physically located in a state where I am licensed at the time of your session.

And you’re not locked into one method. Attend some sessions in-person and some virtually, depending on what’s going on for you. We can decide session-by-session if you prefer. I can change our session to telehealth and send you a link in less than a minute!

Hitting the road? If you’re traveling to one of the 31+ states where I’m licensed, pack your bags! You can continue therapy seamlessly with teletherapy.

My office is up a flight of stairs, so I also recommend teletherapy for those who have physical mobility concerns.

It’s safe, simple, and secure.

I use a HIPAA-complaint platform hosted by my electronic medical record, SimplePractice.

The system generates an email with a link you can use in a web browser, on a laptop, or in an app on a tablet or phone.

All you have to do is click the link to get started.

Don’t let anything stand in the way of getting the help you need.

I’ve also embraced teletherapy because infertility is a relatively rare specialty.

Having a virtual option means that if you need my help, you can still get it – even if you don’t live near me. It’s better to see the right therapist virtually than to see someone local who doesn’t really get what you’re going through.

I understand. I’ve been there.
